The birth of the FPT (Football for All) Program was marked by two main themes: the need of former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s Administration to develop the Media Communications Act in an attempt to “hurt” Clarín Group, and Argentinean Football Association’s (AFA) interest to increase revenue for television broadcast rights from USD 50 million (approx. EUR 45 million) to USD 120 million (approx. EUR 105 million) per year. There were no other reasons.
