The CAS annulled FIFA’s decision sanctioning Nella Joseph, ruling that FIFA had not properly notified her of the disciplinary proceedings, that the evidence presented did not meet the required standard of proof and that the link between her alleged actions and violations of the FIFA Code of Ethics was not sufficiently established. The Panel found that FIFA had failed to meet the comfortable satisfaction threshold required for disciplinary sanctions, leading to the cancellation of the ten-year ban and CHF 20,000 fine imposed on her.
