Being one of the most developed Arab Countries in Sports Law, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) took another big step in this field with the establishment of the UAE Sports Arbitration Center (UAESAC) which headquarter is in the capital city of Abu Dhabi.

Establishment of the UAESAC

 

The UAE Sports Arbitration Centre (UAESAC) was established under Federal Law no 16 for 2016, issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The project was endorsed by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee.

According to Article 3 of the UAESAC Statute, the objectives of the Center are to expedite the settlement of sports disputes through arbitration and conciliation in the UAE, spread the culture of conciliation and sports arbitration in the UAE, especially in the sporting bodies, foster relationships with entities concerned with sports arbitration in the UAE and internationally,...
