On 27 May 2024, the Judge of Commercial Court no. 17 of Madrid (Juzgado de lo Mercantil no. 17 de Madrid) ordered FIFA and UEFA to cease their anti-competitive conduct in the European Super League case after considering that they had imposed unjustified and disproportionate restrictions vis-à-vis European Law.
