Early Termination of SCO Angers Coach’s Fixed-Term Contract Based on Severe Misconduct

The football coach committed severe misconduct by deliberately and repeatedly refusing to support his club in ensuring that the professional players complied with their media, commercial and contractual obligations. Although such a mission was not stipulated in his fixed-term contract, it did specify that he could be asked to perform additional tasks from time to time in the interests of the club and consideration of its needs and that he had to obey the instructions of his hierarchical superiors.

In May 2021, the French club Angers SCO Football Club (Angers SCO) hired a new head coach for its main professional team on a four-season fixed-term contract.
