On 29 and 30 October 2018, the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Single Judge issued two disciplinary decisions regarding two coaches, Marcelo Gallardo and Guillermo Barros Schelotto. The Single Judge also fined their respective clubs. A few days later, on 3 November 2018, CONMEBOL released a second decision sanctioning and fining River Plate’s head coach. All these sanctions occurred in the context of three different Copa Libertadores matches.
