On 29 October 2024, the European football governing body and the European division of FIFPRO announced the signing of a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will last for the next three years, granting a UEFA Executive Committee seat to a FIFPRO Europe representative.
FIFPRO Europe, which serves as the representative body for over 35,000 professional footballers through player unions across 36 UEFA member associations, signed an MoU with UEFA on 29 October 2024.
