Oceania was always seen as a small FIFA Confederation that never really had a significant profile in international football. However, for those who know the region, there are a huge number of talented Pacific Island players who have never had the professional playing platform or stage to showcase their abilities. However, after substantial FIFA and local investment into the region, the time has come for several Oceania region clubs to join full professional football, in the form of the newly created Oceania Football Confederation Professional League (OFC Professional League).

The Role of the OFC Professional League Independent Club Licensing Committee
