Spanish Sport Arbitration Court Calls Off Spanish FA Presidential Elections


On 20 September 2024, the Spanish Sport Administrative Court (TAD) announced that it had upheld an appeal filed by the stakeholders linked to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which will paralyze the upcoming RFEF Presidential elections. This resolution was made on 19 September 2024 but only notified a day later.

The official announcement regarding the elections for the RFEF Presidency was scheduled for 11 September 2024. The period for interested individuals to submit their candidacy for the Presidency commenced on 12 September 2024 and concluded on Monday, 16 September 2024.
