On 29 June 2022, the Bureau of the FIFA Council announced that it had lifted the suspension imposed on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in April 2021 due to the interference of third parties in the daily affairs of PFF. However, the mandate of the association’s Normalization Committee was extended.
The decision to lift the suspension imposed on PFF was taken after FIFA received confirmation that the PFF Normalization Committee had regained full control of its premises and was in a position to manage its financial and commercial assets.
