Personal or logistical challenges, including bereavement, travel, or a lack of internet, cannot override mandatory regulatory deadlines, particularly when a party has advance notice that a decision is imminent. Accordingly, if FIFA refuses to grant an extension, this refusal will be justified and consistent with the procedural obligations placed on FIFA Member Associations.

On 1 March 2023, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) appointed Mr. Adel Amrouche (Coach) as head coach under an employment contract valid until 28 February 2026. His salary was to be paid by the Government of Tanzania, while the TFF would pay a signing fee.

On 18 January 2024, CAF’s Disciplinary Board imposed an eight-match suspension and a fine on TFF. The CAF Appeal Board later upheld the suspension but lifted the fine.
