CAS 2024/A/10551 ESTAC v. Torino FC S.P.A. & FIFA

In this case, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the appeal lodged by ES Troyes AC (ESTAC) against Torino FC, confirming that ESTAC had not met the formal requirements under Article 6(3) of Annexe 4 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (FIFA RSTP) to claim training compensation. The Sole Arbitrator held that, absent sufficient evidence that ESTAC had offered the player a contract of at least equivalent value to his previous one, no compensation was due.
