On 15 January 2025, CAS dismissed the appeal of Mezőkövesd Zsóry Futball Club LLC, confirming the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber’s (DRC) decision. The Sole Arbitrator upheld that the Player had just cause to terminate the Employment Contract due to the Club’s abusive treatment and non-payment of wages. The FIFA DRC’s ruling was upheld, ordering the Club to pay the Player HUF 3,650,000 (approx. EUR 9,000) in outstanding wages and HUF 43,800,000 (approx. EUR 110,000) in compensation for breach of contract.

Facts and Procedure

The case arises from an employment dispute between Mezőkövesd Zsóry Futball Club LLC (the Club) and Antonio Vutov (the Player).

On 1 July 2020, the Club and the Player signed an Employment Contract valid until 30 June 2023. The contract included financial terms and performance expectations.
