Not subject to the transitional provisions of the Law of 27 November 2015 (enshrining the specific fixed-term contract), fixed-term contracts concluded from 2014 onwards between Paris Saint-Germain and its former player are governed by national standard labor law regulations, which makes the use of fixed-term contracts conditional on proof of the temporary nature of the player’s employment. Since the stability and fairness of competitions, as well as the existence of recruitment periods, do not establish either the actual need for changes in the number of players during the various seasons in question or the temporary nature of the players’ employment, the successive fixed-term contracts are therefore reclassified as an indefinite-term contract.
